UCL is the brainchild of its four principals; South Asian businessman – Mr. Bob Kundanmal, who heads the Sino Lanka Group of Companies comprising of Hotels, Hospitals, International Schools and other ventures; Chairman of Gateway Group of Organisations comprising of a chain of primary and secondary international schools and other ventures – Dr. Harsha Alles; Senior Partner and Managing Director of The Boston Consulting Group Malaysia – Mr. Zarif Munir; and private equity fund specialist and management personality – Mr. Steven Enderby.
